Pastor LillianW. Williams

Pastor Lillian is the eldest daughter of 11 children of Reverend Bennie and Hazel Washington. Hailing from a small town in north Louisiana, Lillian cannot remember a time that she did not want to serve. Lillian has a keen appreciation for school and learning, and strongly considered a career in teaching, but was peculiarly drawn to the field of nursing. There was something about helping to heal people that was particularly attractive to her. Following her interests, Lillian graduated from West Texas State University with a Bachelors of Science in nursing. Though she was serving her community as a nurse, Pastor Lillian felt she had more to give and enlisted in the United States Army Reserve. After receiving her Master’s Degree in Nursing from Northwestern University in Natchitoches, Louisiana, Pastor Lillian entered the United States Army where she led a distinguished career. During her service in the United States Army Lilian received many accomodations and recognitions for her service. Pastor Lillian retired from the United States Army as a Lieutenant Colonel. While most would consider this the perfect time to slow down and enjoy retirement, Pastor Lillian felt that she had more to give, more to do. Lillian enrolled in Troy State University where she received her Certificate of Advance Study. In 2005 Pastor Lillian received her Masters of Public Health, and today she is working on Doctorate Degree in Executive Leadership. 

Pastor Lillian has been a business owner, a radio talk show host; and has worked in private practice. Lillian has worked in Public Health, and she has always found time to work in her community. Pastor Lillian is a member of the Links Incorporated, a philanthropic group of women who provide services to youth, the community, and individuals in need. She is also an active member in Chi Eta Phi, the Nursing Sorority, where she, along with her sisters, provide service to Humanity. 

As the founding Pastor of Cathedral of Amazing Grace Pastor Lillian is committed to building a ministry that ministers to spiritual,social, psychological and health,needs.of individuals.

Lillian and her devoted husband Ed live in Midland, Georgia. She has two children, a daughter Kimberly, who lives in Louisiana, and a son Charles who resides in Washington, D.C..
